HOW DO I NAME MY LOG?
callsign@referenceYYYYMMDD
e.g. VK1ABC@VKFF011520150501
This will prevent the issue of DUPE logs in the system, and it makes it a lot easier for me in the upload process as well with the reference included in the file name.

WHERE CAN I FIND A LIST OF ALL QUALIFYING PARKS?
The WWFF Directory contains all qualifying parks in the WWFF program throughout the world (including Australia). The latest WWFF Directory can be downloaded from the global WWFF website at wwff.co or it can also be downloaded from the home page of this site.
HOW CAN THE 44 QSOs BE COMPRISED?
For all WWFF activations, a minimum of 44 QSOs are required for the WWFF activation to be valid.
Contacts with the same individual using a club call sign, a vanity call sign, or a special event call sign for example, are allowed and will count towards the 44 QSO threshold. A contact with the same call sign on a different band or on a different mode, counts as a separate QSO. A contact with the same call sign on a different date counts as a separate QSO. A contact with a station from a portable location who then goes mobile, counts towards the 44 QSO total.
More information can be found in Rule 4.6 of the global WWFF rules.

HOW CAN I TELL IF A PARK HAS BEEN ACTIVATED PREVIOUSLY?
Not at the moment through Logsearch. This is a feature that is being introduced to Logsearch. Something similar to the old 'Reference Report' will be introduced to the new Logsearch system.
However you can use parksnpeaks to get an idea. The Count list column indicates the number of times that an activator has been spotted from that park on the parksnpeaks site. The Last column indicates the call sign of the station that was last spotted in that particular park.

CAN NEW PARKS BE ADDED?
Yes. New parks can be added to a State or Territory. Up to 500 new parks can be added by the VKFF National co-ordinator each year. If you have a suggestion for a park addition, please contact the VKFF co-ordinator, Paul VK5PAS.
WHEN DO NEW PARKS BECOME VALID?
Once the parks are approved on WWFF Logsearch, they are valid for activation.
WHAT IF AN ACTIVATOR HASN'T PROVIDED THEIR LOG ?
Sadly, this does occur, where amateurs activate a park but fail to provide a log to the National co-ordinator for upload to Logsearch. If this happens, you, the hunter, will not be able to claim the park.
It is suggested that you send a polite e-mail to the activator, asking them to provide their log.
Due to time constraints, the VKFF co-ordinator will no longer be chasing up outstanding logs.

WHERE DO I FIND OUT IF A SOTA SUMMIT IS LOCATED WITHIN A PARK?
Unfortunately at this time Logsearch does not contain this information. However, this information can be found on the parksnpeaks website.
Simply click on a park from the 'Parks' option in the top toolbar. It will show details of the park and will list any SOTA peaks that are located within the park. Alternatively, checking out a SOTA summit through the 'Peaks' tab, will indicate if the summit is located within a park.
Should you find any SOTA peaks that are within parks, and that are not recorded on the parksnpeaks site, please send an email with the information to Allen VK3ARH at [email protected], and Paul VK5PAS at [email protected].

IS WWFF THE SAME AS THE VK5 PARKS AWARD AND KRMNPA?
NO. The VK5 National & Conservation Parks Award and the Keith Roget Memorial National Parks Award are two completely separate programs. However it is possible to activate a WWFF area in VK5 at the same time as a VK5 Parks award park, or a WWFF area in VK3 at the same time as a KRMNPA park (please ensure that you are complying with the relevant rules for each program).
ARE QSL CARDS REQUIRED IN THE WWFF/VKFF PROGRAM?
NO. There is no requirement for QSL cards to be produced or exchanged as part of the WWFF program. Activators are encouraged to use the WWFF logo on their QSL cards to help promote the WWFF program.
CAN LOGS PRECEDING THE COMMENCEMENT OF WWFF BE UPLOADED TO LOGSEARCH?
NO. The current rules (Version 5.0) which are dated 1st December 2016, state:-
"THE WFF program commenced in November 2012. However, qualifying logs from activations preceding this date can be provided for upload to Logsearch dating back to 30th June 2008".
The relevance of the 30th June 2008 date is that is the date which the 'old' WFF program commenced.
The previous rules (Version 4.0) did not have a date restriction. As a consequence there are logs in the Logsearch database that precede 30th June 2008. There are some logs which date back to 1978 from Germany.
