Ivan is retired after a career as a mechanic, firefighter, and radio tech.

First licensed in 1989 as a Novice with the call of VK5PAW. Upgraded a few years later to VK5HS

Ivan was a team member of the VK5TIL Troubridge Island WWFF/IOTA DXpedition in 2023 and a team member of the Flinders Island WWFF/IOTA DXpedition in 2024.

Previous President, Secretary and Treasurer of Riverland Radio Club.
Current Treasurer & Co-Ordinator Repeaters and resources & Education and examinations.
Other info:
Ivan coordinates and looks after the local Riverland repeaters VK5RLD 2m and VK5RMK 70 cm. He lends radio and equipment to new members. He is the Co-ordinator of the Riverland Radio Club’s club education, training and examinations. Ivan has run the communications for the Variety Club Bashes for more than 25 years. That activity gave him a lot of HF radio experience in operating portable.
